In times of one family’s grief, donating organs and tissue is a selfless gift that can bring life back to other families around the country. The Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank knows firsthand these stories of life and loss and the monumental impact eye donation has on those experiencing the disappearance of sight. And what an impact the organization is making; since being founded in 1973, Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank has provided over 18,000 corneas for transplantation.
But there is still work to be done. Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank purchased a few promotional products to help spread the word on eye donation, say thanks to their nursing staff and to continue advancing their mission to “restore, improve, and preserve sight by connecting eye donors and education physicians and enhancing eye research through quality eye banking services.”
Valerie Riley, program coordinator for Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank, shared which 4imprint products worked the best for the eye bank’s needs. Its “old-faithfuls”—3″ x 4″ sticky notes and Tide Stylus Pens—are ideal, cost-effective ways to circulate its message with large audiences. “They’re perfect items for big conventions where you need a low-price but high-volume giveaway. We’ll be reordering soon,” she said.
Another successful promotional purchase that didn’t break bank was the lunch container found on our Outlet website. Valerie shared, “These lunch containers are a hit! We ordered them from the clearance section of 4imprint, and I’m here to tell you that you can get major deals there. We couldn’t be happier, and we’ll be looking for something similar again.”
The work the eye bank’s nursing staff does day in and day out can be difficult and heartrending. Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank wanted to show its heartfelt appreciation while bringing a bit of cheerfulness, so staff were treated to Googly Eye Pens and vials of mints. The pens brought much needed eye-bank humor. “These googly eyes pens we give to the nurses and nurse administrators we work with make those rough days a little more bearable,” said Valerie. Vial-shaped containers of blood-red cinnamon mints played nicely with the medical theme. “The nurses and nurse administrators with whom we work are going nuts over these vials of mints…they could refill them with mints or ibuprofen and acetaminophen, giving us a nice bang for our buck—and they were reasonably priced, too.”
We at 4imprint would like to give a big thank you to Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank for sharing how it is using our products to meet its goals. Keep up the great work!
