Branded caps are an affordable way to promote your business or organization with something your customers will use and appreciate. One-size-fits-most hats provide a little shade in summer (think baseball caps) and can keep the head warm when it’s cooler (think beanies). Logo baseball caps have become such mainstream apparel in recent years that many consider them a part of their wardrobe!

Low-profile basic caps are becoming more popular for women, too. Trendy fabrics like wool, tweed and cotton jersey are also turning up more in headwear. 4imprint merchandiser Jayne S., who specializes in headwear, shared some of her recommendations on selecting promotional caps for your next marketing effort.

Trucker caps keep your promo efforts rolling forward

“Trucker snapback caps are a stylish addition to any casual or sporty event,” Jayne said. “They are designed with a mesh backing for breathability and one-size-fits-all in mind.” There’s no need to worry about getting the right size for your customers, prospects and employees. The Richardson Trucker Snapback Cap is one of our top-selling hats, and for good reason, she noted. You can order it in 32 different two-tone colors, four varieties of camouflage, plaid, streak and even an island print! The Zone Sonic Heather Trucker Cap  has eight color options, with the front panel’s heather accent giving your embroidered logo and upscale vibe.

Custom-fit sports caps for the win

Cap designs like the Flexfit® Athletic Mesh Cap and Flexfit® Cool & Dry Sport Cap are made of a cotton/spandex blend for a comfortable fit. Flexfit headbands stretch to fit most heads from 6-7/8” to 7-3/8” and require no adjustment. The performance material features moisture-wicking technology, so your players and customers will stay cool and dry, Jayne explained. The New Era® Structured Stretch Fit Cap is our best-selling version of this comfortable cap design and comes in sizes S-XL. All are ready for your custom embroidery.

Knit beanies help warm heads and hearts

Classic watch caps and beanies are a winter fixture in colder climates, but they are becoming a more frequent sight all year around. “Their knit material provides durable construction, a stretchy fit and added comfort to stay warm,” Jayne said. She pointed to the best-selling Crossland® Beani, a 4imprint Exclusive, as an example of this traditional cap. It stretches to fit almost anyone and your embroidered logo really pops against your choice of six colors. Pom beanies like the Pom Pom Cuff Beanie and Crossland® Heather Pom Beanie are instant eye-catchers with their bold accent stripes and distinctive fuzzy pom on top. Hand these out at sports events, open houses or employee appreciation dinners. The Carhartt® Acrylic Watch Hat is always a favorite on the job site for cold-weather workers, but also has become popular with high school and college students.

Camouflage caps are perfect for the outdoors

The camouflage worn by hunters has invaded the fashion world. And it just continues to grow in popularity, with a wide variety of camo patterns now available. This unique design element is available on several promotional caps that are ideal for promotions, clubs and teams, Jayne explained. Sportsmen’s clubs, trap-shooting teams, fishing tournaments, birdwatching events: these are just a few places where a camo cap would be perfect. The embroidered Kryptek Camo Cap (133096) is a top-seller in your choice of either brown or black Kryptek pattern. It includes an American flag scout patch on the side. The Hagerstown Digi Camo Cap (151494) has a black front and a digital camo pattern on the side, back panels and under the bill for a distinctive look.
