one by one®: Children’s Rescue Fund
Children’s Rescue Fund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing shelter and support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the New York City area. During a recently launched campaign, branded teddy bears were placed throughout Central Park. Each had a tagged QR code that, when scanned, provided information about the organization’s mission and services. Staff and volunteers were also stationed nearby to answer any questions and provide additional information.
A mission to empower generations
As part of NYC’s right-to-shelter mandate, Children’s Rescue Fund plays a crucial role in providing shelter and resources for people in need. With a staff of more than 450 people, it serves an average of 7,000 individuals annually, housing up to 3,000 people at any given time.
“The bears represent the tangible to show what people are donating to,” said Justin Daniel Karmann, director of development. “So much more of the intangible are the programs it funds. That’s where this campaign very much aligns with the mission. It’s all about as much holistic care that empowers and creates a self-sustaining lifestyle.”
Branded teddy bears help provide homes for the holidays
The goal of the campaign was to raise $30,000, which would allow Children’s Rescue Fund to provide 1,200 children with a teddy bear and additional support. With the holiday season approaching, the organization hopes to use the funds raised to purchase more branded teddy bears to spread awareness to additional individuals and families experiencing homelessness. “We are forever grateful for 4imprint and for the one by one® program,” said Karmann.
