one by one®: Boss 2 Boss Leadership Foundation
“Built on self-success,” Boss 2 Boss Leadership Foundation empowers women to connect, relate, support and motivate each other. “A lot of people think you have to be a business owner to be a boss, but you’re a boss every day of your own life,” founder Alisha Glenn said. “Sometimes even just getting up and starting your day is hard, but when you do that, you’re ‘bossing it.’” Promotional items for nonprofits help the organization stand out and reach more people.
Many Boss 2 Boss Leadership Foundation members own their own company. The foundation provides networking opportunities, business guidance and resources as they navigate entrepreneurship. Members build lifelong friendships and connections through live sessions with experts, group meetings, and activities like bowling and vision board parties.
“I make sure I connect with each person,” Glenn explained. “I can tell you about each one; they can call me at any time. If they need help with business strategy or starting up, I take time to help them or I connect them to the right person.”
The organization goes beyond offering business guidance—it also provides a safe space for women to talk, listen and form strong bonds with other women in similar situations.
Building her own dream
Emma Smith was deeply impacted by Boss 2 Boss Leadership Foundation. Previously incarcerated, Smith faced social and financial challenges that come with re-entering society.
However, when she joined Boss 2 Boss Leadership Foundation, Smith developed friendships with other women who were prospering in life and actively doing great work. She began to build confidence and became driven to achieve more. Today, Smith owns her own business.
Promotional items for nonprofits help steal the spotlight
To celebrate the foundation’s one-year anniversary, Glenn hosted a tea party celebration. She used a one by one grant to purchase T-shirts and a table throw, which added a cohesive look and feel to the event.
“The table throw really brings light to our organization,” Glenn said. “We’ve also used it when we were live on television on a news station that showcased different organizations. The tablecloth made our organization pop and brought more people to our table.”
