Sometimes the organizations that spend their days tending to the needs of others need some help of their own. With nonprofit giveaways, charities can accomplish everything from spreading awareness to caring for more people. The following stories illustrate how various nonprofit groups used a 4imprint one by one grant to accomplish their goals. If you want to see how promo items can make it possible for your charitable organization to achieve its objectives, read on.
Welcoming patients with backpacks
The VOBOC Foundation in Montreal understands the impact the first day of therapy has on a child’s cancer journey. That’s why the organization has helped more than 3,200 adolescent cancer patients by giving them backpacks filled with practical items that make it easier to focus on treatment and therapy. In addition to items like pajamas, socks and caps, the group used its one by one grant to include Tritan Flip-Top Sport Bottles and Undercover Lunch Coolers. The charity giveaways help patients keep healthy foods and drinks on hand during their treatment.
Keeping children safe
The Lutheran Early Learning Center of Warman, Saskatchewan, provides education and childcare to about 250 children ages 18 months to 12-years old. The center organizes frequent off-site learning activities that include visiting community organizations, taking part in recreational activities, going to various cultural heritage sites and discovering nature within local neighborhoods. The center used its one by one grant to get matching T-shirts with the group’s name and phone number on them. The nonprofit giveaways make it easier to spot children in a crowd and perform head counts. Most importantly, should a child wander off, the phone number helps get them reconnected with their group.
Offering comfort with caps
Camp Quality Canada offers seven free one-week summer camps to children affected by cancer and other serious illnesses. The children spend their days discovering new skills while their families enjoy a respite, knowing their children are in good hands. The organization used its one by one grant to acquire Washed Chino Twill Caps (#C8166). The charity giveaways helped the kids—especially those for whom the illness is noticeable—feel more comfortable.
Toting knowledge
For more than 45 years, Hydrocephalus Canada has provided support and education to Canadians dealing with hydrocephalus and spina bifida. The knowledge they share can be life-altering, as one form of hydrocephalus can be misdiagnosed as other medical problems and, in some cases, hydrocephalus can be treated—resulting in patient symptoms being reversed. The organization used its one by one grant for Jumbo Grocery Totes, which it used to spread awareness at senior fairs and thank people for participating in fundraising walks.
