The superpower of every nonprofit is the ability to find new, unexpected ways to do great things for their community—and nonprofit promotional giveaways can help make that happen.
These inspirational stories show how four organizations turned nonprofit promotional products, received through a 4imprint one by one® grant, into opportunities to care for kids, adults and families in their community. If you need a feel-good read or some ideas on using giveaways to support your goals, take a peek.
Gifts raise funds for children
For more than 50 years, LUK, Inc. has used mentoring programs, counseling services, foster care and other programs to improve the lives of more than 3,700 youth and their families annually. For its 50th anniversary fundraiser, the organization used a one by one grant to purchase custom paddles for auction participants. These nonprofit promotional giveaways added an element of interactive excitement to the event, resulting in the largest donation amount in the organization’s history.
Marketing materials help spread the word
For more than 30 years, the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) program has trained volunteers on how to build relationships with abused and neglected children and become stronger advocates for the them in court. Volunteers have helped ensure children end up in safe, permanent and supportive homes. The group used their grant to purchase marketing yard signs to spread the word about CASA’s work and encourage more people to volunteer.
Kits that help kids cope
“Making hospitals a better place to get better” is the mission of the enCourage Kids Foundation. The nonprofit organization works closely with child life specialists to help nearly 1 million kids receive the best possible care by providing hospitals nationwide with needs ranging from playroom renovations to medical equipment. The grant helped the organization create Coping Kits for kids that contain everything from activity books to coloring pencils to lip balm.
Safety items to help the show go on
For nearly 25 years, the Appleton Education Foundation has been awarding grants for creative teaching and learning opportunities that aren’t normally funded through public resources. When it came time to plan its 2020 golf outing fundraiser, they wanted to ensure that every participant would remain safe. They used their grant to equip every golf cart, food station and registration table with hand sanitizer.
