Small businesses create two out of three new jobs, and more than half of Americans work for or own a small business. That’s truly worth celebrating! This year, National Small Business Week is May 5-11.
In honor of this celebration, we’ve got seven tips (one for each day) and small business giveaway ideas that provide multiple opportunities to promote your business, offer thanks, and introduce your company to new customers.
Day 1: Thank your customers

Your products and services might draw customers in, but it’s your employees that keep those customers coming back. Thank your hardworking associates with a gift card or by buying them lunch at a local restaurant. Include a Thank You Note Card that says how much you appreciate them.
Day 3: Get social
Social media posts can get you seen. Sixty-five percent of Americans use social networks, making it easy for customers who need your products and services to find you.

Day 4: Hold a contest
