What an exciting time!  I’ve been reading articles and hearing discussions about it, the subject of school districts beginning to use e-books in the classrooms, but it is quickly becoming a reality locally and across the country.  As I was watching the local news the other day, there was a story about a local district that will be using laptops and iPads for the 2011 school year, rather than hard copy books.  There are definite advantages to this, including always having current materials and access to basically entire libraries at your fingertips.  Understandably, though, there is also some apprehension as to how effective this will be.

I’m sure that when my children are in school, e-books will be more common than not, and I’m anxious to hear how this test and tests within other districts have developed.
