I realize this has little (ok, nothing) to do with promotional products, but I do think there’s a life lesson in here somewhere.
In a story I picked up on the CNN website, Ford is denying rumors that it’s working on four door and/or wagon versions of the Mustang. That’s right, a Mustang wagon…!
If they are seriously considering this it’s scary (check out the pictures in the CNN story – pretty hideous!). If you’ve got a strong brand, watering it down in an attempt to grow will backfire. But who knows, the story might just be a clever way to rally the core and strengthen the franchise…
