It’s very interesting, the promotional products industry that is. You get to see trends as they emerge and watch how they develop into our industry. Looking at the Fall 2005 color palette gives us a heads-up as Merchandisers. It allows us some insight as to which colors may be up and coming and which are probably going to be bigger sellers than others.
When looking at the Spring/Summer 2005 color forecast (which was developed probably more than a year beforehand) you can see the influence of these colors very strongly in the retail market. Companies like Target and Crate&Barrel are some of the more well-known companies that seem to be more strongly influenced by the color palette of the high-fashion industry.
