Whilst traveling recently, I stayed at the Hotel Hanford in Orange County.

Upon checking in, I realized there was no Starbucks® within a half-mile.  So, I was thrilled to discover the hotel’s coffee service, which included coffee delivery from the hotel restaurant to my room anytime I wanted.  (Latte withdrawal averted.)  That was lovely.

But, what really caught my attention were the hotel’s eco-friendly toiletries.

Rather than the usual travel-sized plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion, the hotel offered their shampoo, conditioner and lotion in coated paper containers. The products were from Gilchrist & Soames and the design was really cool.  Signage explained that the packaging reduced waste by 92%.  What a difference!

This made me wonder whether there might be an application for this in promotional products.  What do you think?
