A couple of quick things that brought a smile amongst all of the tough economic news – one big, one small.

The big one is this story about how folks in the region where we’re based really came through for the Salvation Army. It’s comforting to remember that even when times are tough people still find ways to dig deep and help those in need. A reminder that the human spirit is alive and well.

The small one is that our merchandising team is beginning to put up some of the first new promotional products of the year. Not long ago, this was really only time of year you’d see new products – now it’s a year-round exercise – but it’s still a time when many new products are introduced. The annual ‘refreshing of product ranges’ reminds me that things are still moving, renewal is still happening and the cycle continues.

Comforting in an uncomfortable climate.
