According to a recent 4imprint® survey, 4 in 5 businesses will throw a holiday party this year.

If you’re in charge of planning your organization’s festivities, you may be struggling to come up with ideas to make it memorable. We’ve got you covered! These helpful tips plus holiday party swag suggestions can help you plan the merriest of celebrations.

Select a theme—and give plenty of advance notice!

Adding a theme to your holiday gathering not only ups the fun factor, it can make it easier to plan. Settling on your theme in advance simplifies choosing a location, decorating and finding the perfect holiday promotional products to use as party favors.

Choose a winter wonderland theme complete with fake snow, Snowflake Stadium Cups and Holiday Charm Snowflake Ornaments guests can take home at the end of the night. Host a Christmas in Vegas and let the guests play casino games for pretend money they can use to “buy” prizes. Everyone’s a winner when they leave with a set of Value Playing Cards with Case. Base your décor and party favors on a  favorite holiday movie. For example, show “It’s a Wonderful Life” and give out Sparkly Accent Ornaments – Bells.

Generate cheerful competition

If your holiday gathering is for employees-only, you’re not alone. Our study found that staff-only parties are becoming more common.

Employee parties are a great opportunity to bring together departments and staff who otherwise don’t have much interaction. Encourage guests to mix and mingle with fun games and some friendly competition.

If your company has decided to “roll” with the Vegas theme, a High Roller Poker Set or Jumbo Prize Wheel can turn the event into a night of low-stakes fun. Or, generate an in-office championship with the Lightweight Bean Bag Game or Hoop Basketball Game.

Host a holiday photobooth

With everyone dressed to impress (or dressed in their silliest Christmas sweater), what better time to capture the moment? Set up a photobooth with an entertaining backdrop. Decorate the walls with your party theme or put up a festive EuroFit Modular Straight Wall to give guests a place to snap photos. Throw in a few holiday promotional products as props like the Foam Reindeer Antlers, a Light-Up Snowflake Wand and a Photo Booth Kit. Choose a fun hashtag and let the selfies and social shares begin!

End the evening with door prizes

As the party winds down, send a few lucky guests home with door prizes. The anticipation of winning holiday party swag will add extra fun to the festivities.

A box of Chocolate Bites makes a flavorful, one-size-fits all door prize that’ll put anyone in the holiday spirit. Or, choose the Classic Treasures Tower Collection that doubles as a centerpiece. Give away a pair of Rivington® Insulated Jackets – one for women and one for men. Or, give the gift of a cool new perspective with a pair of Collapsible Virtual Reality Glasses.

Fun and fond memories are the best gift of all

With the help of these tips and fun holiday party swag, you can create a memorable company party people will talk about all year. And create smiles that last right into the next one.
