Interactive games
Trade shows are about building business and networking, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be about fun and games, too. In fact, games that encourage booth visitors to interact with your team and your business’s brand can leave a lasting and positive impression as well as open the door to more serious conversations about business. Here are a few ideas to help concoct the perfect recipe for trade show fun…Video games
Once reserved for big budgets and tech conferences, custom-created video games are a fun booth feature that’s now accessible to most pocket books. Try creating a private app and downloading it on iPads® or tablets to display on booth tables or secure to kiosks. Another option is using tools like Kodu® that exist to help people with no programming knowledge create their own video game for the Xbox® which could then be easily set up at your booth. Or, work with companies like Amusitronix™ or Snibbe Interactive™ to create fully custom, impressive interactive games and displays—like the Social Table® from Snibbe—that are sure to be show stoppers. Challenge visitors to play the game and receive a prize, like a T-Shirt, visor, or discount on products or services, for just participating.

Game-show style
Take a cue from the popular day-time game shows of yesterday with fun booth features like prize wheels, Plinko boards or Toss N’ Win. Ask booth visitors to ask a question about your business, products or services before they can participate in order to spark conversation and then offer prizes to the winners of each game, like gift certificates to nearby coffee shops or online stores (since trade shows bring people in from all over the place!), discounts on your products and services, and more.

Interactive contests
These games are great for advertising prior to the trade show to build buzz and get people excited about visiting your booth. Drive traffic by handing out keys to a padlock in a pre-show mailing or right inside the trade show bag when visitors arrive at registration. One of these keys could open the padlock on a clear display case that houses a pretty nice prize, like a roadside auto caddy, a Mack MP3 player, a BBQ grilling set or a wine opener set.

Games are a great way to build buzz, add fun and get conversations started. Have a great idea for a trade show booth game or display? Become our fan on Facebook® and let us know!
