Some of you might remember that we had some fun and excitement this time last year when Love, Ludlow, a film by David Paterson (a 4imprint customer) made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. We helped him build buzz at the festival, contributing t-shirts, caps, umbrellas and blinking stickers (which he attached to Twinkies, in deference to a scene from the film) to the cause. It was fun to be a part of David’s big adventure.
His efforts paid off. He’s back at Sundance this year, as a panelist on the buzz-building topic…and he dropped us a line. A lot has happened in the last year. We’re thrilled! Congrats, David.

I thought some of you might check in on the blog to see if anything new was up with me since it’s a year and a day to when LOVE LUDLOW premiered at Sundance.
What a difference a year makes. As I think you know, I sold the film to Warner Home Video, the largest DVD company in the world. Its release date is next week.
Sundance Channel and STARZ bought the cable rights, the two channels have a combined audience base of 3 million+ subscribers.
Tomorrow, I fly off to New Zealand to film my second feature, a large budget movie being produced by Walden Media and Walt Disney. It’s called Bridge To Terabithia. It’s based on a book written by my mom.
It’s kinda crazy that 18 months ago I wasn’t even in the film business. And, now it looks like I may be in it for a good long time. I hope anyone who reads this will find some comfort that hard work and determination can help you attain your dreams.
And always remember-‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’ still have a lot of power in today’s world.
Signing out from Sundance, your 4imprint blogging buddy,
David L. Paterson
