My last visit to Hong Kong in mid-April landed in the aftermath of an earthquake that measured 6.9 on the Richter Scale and rocked the Southern Qinghai Province of China. Volunteers from local churches, schools and other organizations were on the streets seeking donations to help those affected by the disaster.

Amidst the hustle-and-bustle, I came across a group of young people who were doing their part to help, selling UNICEF “Little Angel” dolls.  Of course, the “Little Angels” caught my eye.

The doll comes with a series of movable felt appliqués, with affectionate phrases imprinted on them.  It’s a clever use of promotional products for fund-raising – and a perfect fund-raising tool for the cause.
